Sandra (Sandy) Kay Frasa, 69, of Frostproof, Fl. (formerly of Clarkston, Mi.), beloved wife of Warren Frasa for 48 years, passed away peacefully in the loving arms of her husband on Wednesday, February 27, 2013, at Good Shepherd Hospice in Sebring, Fl.
Sandy was born in Pontiac, Mi. and lived most of her life in Clarkston where she had careers in nursing as an LPN, as a bank teller, and various positions with Oakland County, while raising her family and traveling prior to retiring to Rainbow Resort in Frostproof, Fl.
She was passionate about sewing, quilting and machine embroidery. She thoroughly enjoyed teaching others to exercise their creativity through these crafts, as well as continually mentoring countless students and friends in the creative arts she dearly loved at the resort.
Besides Warren, Sandy is survived by her two sons Craig Frasa and wife Dawn of Clarkston, Mi., and Mark Frasa and wife Laura of Waterford, Mi.; her grandchildren, Emily, Darren, Aaron, and Taylor; her brother Terry, niece Stacey, nephew Kevin; sister-in-law Barbara; numerous cousins, and many dear friends.
The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the Dr.’s. and nurses of Winter Haven Hospital and Good Shepherd Hospice for their care and attention. We thank God for the gift of her life, and the blessing of the time we had with her.
A memorial service will be held honoring Sandy on Saturday, March 02, 2013 at 2:00 Pm at First United Methodist Church, 150 Devane St, Frostproof, Fl..
Visitation and viewing will be held at 1:00 Pm prior to the service. Pastor Brian Smith officiating.
Sandy is then to return to Michigan for a memorial service at Lewis E. Wint Funeral Home in Clarkston.
Burial will be at Ottawa Park Cemetery in Clarkston, MI. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Sandy can be made to The First United Methodist Church in Frostproof, or the Good Shepherd Hospice of Sebring.
